Prostate Cancer
"Together with the brightest minds in research, we aim to achieve significant breakthroughs in the hope of beating prostate cancer. Our disruptive funding approach identifies revolutionary ways to accelerate health outcomes by creating strong, global collaborative teams." Dr. Colleen Nelson, Global Scientific Chair.
Men's Health
"One Mo can help change the face of men’s health through the powerful conversations created globally during Movember. Men have the chance to confidently discuss men’s health with people around them, resulting in men taking action early, helping change and save lives." Paul Villanti, Executive Director, Programmes
Mental health and suicide prevention
“The number of men taking their own lives around the world is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Movember is working to ensure all men and boys look after their mental health and are comfortable to seek help when they’re struggling.”
Brendan Maher, Global Director, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
Testicular Cancer
“Despite being the 2nd most common cancer in young men, testicular cancer is often a forgotten cancer due to early detection and treatment. Our projects look at underinvested areas such as improving access to healthcare services and treatment options for relapse” Paul Villanti, Executive Director, Programmes.

About the project

TrueNTH AU is a collaborative approach to improving the lives of men, their partners and caregivers living with and beyond prostate cancer. TrueNTH is a revolutionary program that helps men living with the symptoms and side effects of prostate cancer and its treatments, as well as improving access to quality of life enhancing care and support.

The TrueNTH tele-health care model comprised of the following components: care coordination, information and education, decision support, lifestyle management, clinical support services such as sexual recovery, psychological support and continence management and including partner/carer support. TrueNTH was beneficial to men with both local and advanced prostate cancer. In particular those who were experiencing challenges because of their diagnosis and treatment which were unmet by exiting services or their care plan.

The participation paths into TrueNTH included – the Demonstration Study – a coordinated care research study using sites in Queensland, Victoria, Northern Territory and South Australia. The Hormone Therapy Program – a coordinated care model supporting men newly prescribed hormone therapy medication in regional/rural sites in Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia, NSW and parts of Queensland. The Prostate Cancer Registry – a coordinated care model supporting men who are experiencing ongoing bother 12 months post treatment at sites in Gippsland Victoria where there is limited access to support services.

Multiple advisory committees and the Movember Board govern TrueNTH.
